Fort Campbell’s Gardner Indoor Pool to host Halloween Pool Party October 26th

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Gardner Indoor Pool will be hosting a Halloween Pool Party on October 26th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. There will face painting, crafts, a movie, prizes, and a keepsake photo – activities and fun for the entire Family!

The cost to participate is $5.00 and with admission you’ll also get cotton candy, popcorn or a snow cone.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs Golf finishes seventh at F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate

 

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN - Sophomore Jessica Cathey and senior Rachel Deaton each posted a top-five finish but it wasn’t enough to move Austin Peay State University women’s golf team forward and it settled for a seventh-place finish at its own F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, Tuesday, at the Clarksville Country Club.

Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan – Service members and civilians take time to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, hosted by Task Force Lifeliner, October 11th, 2013, at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan.

Over the years Americans have observed the National Hispanic Heritage month from September 15th to October 15th, it’s a month to honor, recognize and celebrate the culture and its achievements.

This event not only helps the Hispanic community to retain their traditions but also educates the Hispanic culture to other people from different nationalities. Go Commando Runner Provides Awareness to Gun Violence

 

Go Commando Half Marathon and 5kClarksville, TN – Every day, law enforcement across the United States step out onto the streets in an effort to protect and serve. Their dedication extends across the communities they patrol and within their own community of officers.

This year, on October 19th, one of Montgomery County’s own will run in the Go Commando Half Marathon & 5k powered by CDE Lightband in honor of his fellow officers and to raise awareness about a very real threat to police officers everywhere.

Montgomery County Sheriff Investigator Jeff Morlock will run in Go Commando to raise Awareness to Gun Violence.

Clarksville High School Lady Wildcats roll to second straight District 10-AAA Soccer Title

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team scored four goals in each half, October 14th at Hilda J. Richardson Field, in picking up its second straight District 10-AAA title, with an 8-0 victory over Rossview High School.

With the win, the Lady Wildcats (17-2-2) will host a first-round Region 5-AAA tournament game on October 22nd against the runner up of District 9-AAA, while Rossview (9-5-3) will travel to the champion of District 9-AAA.

“We like playing at home,” Clarksville High coach Jeff Jordan said. “That’s something that we’re proud of and a championship is always wonderful.”

TWRA reports Quota Hunts to go on as scheduled at Land Between the Lakes Wildlife Management Area

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has been informed that the quota deer hunts scheduled for the Land Between the Lakes Wildlife Management Area will go on as scheduled.

If the federal government shutdown continues when the hunts are underway, the South Welcome Center in Tennessee will not be open to check deer.
