Clarksville Police report Traffic Accident in front of Burger King on Madison Street

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, October 25th, 2013 at 6:51pm, Clarksville Police officers were dispatched to a wreck with injuries involving a small station wagon and a motorcycle in front of Burger King located at 2227 Madison Street.

Michael Vicars, date of birth May 9th, 1967, of Clarksville, stated that he was leaving the Burger King parking lot and had checked the West bound traffic, on Madison Street, before turning left to head East on Madison Street. Mr. Vicars said, the second he pulled into the roadway, he was struck by the motorcycle on the driver’s side of his vehicle.

Dane Vinson, date of birth October 19th, 1984, of Adams, TN, was on his way to a Bikers Who Care (BWC) event when he collided with the 2003 Saturn.

Vinson’s 2006 Harley Davidson was traveling West on Madison Street in the right travel lane when it struck the vehicle just in front of the driveway of the business.

Mr. Vinson suffered severe head trauma and a broken leg and was transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, which was called in to land at Clarksville High School.

Police spoke with Mr. Vinsons mother and she stated they had to intubate Vinson, due to the bleeding in his head, but he is stable.

There is no further information at this time.
