Clarksville, TN – On Friday, October 25th, 2013, Detective Tim Anderson, from the Clarksville Police Department (CPD), graduated from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) State Academy.
First, Detective Anderson had to meet specific qualifications to be selected for the TBI State Academy. Due to his successful history at the CPD and his commitment to the community, he qualified to attend the Academy. This is a five day a week commitment for six weeks.
Some of the subjects were:
- Ethics for management
- Leadership
- Statement analysis, interview and interrogations
- Constitutional Law
- Courtroom testimony and protocols
- Communications intelligence
- Online investigations, sexting and computer intrusions
- Crime scene and search warrant practicals
- Financial investigations
- Firearms competition
- Undercover investigations
Detective Anderson was very appreciative that he was given this opportunity. He stated, “What made this training great, is we were given instruction on how to do these things properly, and then we actually did them under the supervision of instructors who, in many cases, by their profession are top experts in their field, or have been recognized by Tennessee Courts as expert witnesses in their particular fields. This was followed by exams on all topics of the training. This was, without a doubt, some of the best training I have received in my career.”
The Clarksville Police Department wants to congratulate Detective Tim Anderson for this prestigious accomplishment and stepping stone to his career and future in law enforcement!
