Nashville Half & Full Marathon presented by Hard Rock Cafe to benefit United Way

Nashville, TN –  Now in its fourth year, the Nashville Half & Full Marathon, presented by the Hard Rock Café, is the second largest marathon attended in Nashville. For the first time, the 2013 Nashville Half & Full Marathon presented by the Hard Rock Cafe will support United Way of Metropolitan Nashville.

Proceeds from the event will support United Way’s most critical events in the community; Days of Action – unparalleled, life-changing volunteer opportunities designed to make our community stronger.

Go Commando Half Marathon & 5k
Nashville Half & Full Marathon scheduled for  November 6th, 2013

In 2012 alone, United Way’s Days of Action and community engagement efforts benefited 31,404 Nashville families and children and brought 128,317 donated books, school supplies and baby items to Nashville’s most at-risk communities. Days of Action are just one way that United Way of Metropolitan Nashville is at work to make our community stronger.

Lifelong locals and out-of-towners alike will enjoy the race route, which takes runners through Nashville’s most beautiful and historic scenery. Supporters stationed in the Gulch, East Nashville, and other lively neighborhoods will cheer on runners, who will end the route down Broadway. The race will be followed by a post event with music and refreshments. Every participant receives a complimentary tech shirt and the popular race medal.

Volunteers also are needed to be pace setters and work water stations, mile markers, the start and finish lines, cheer stations, and more.
