Clarksville Police traffic stop results in Drugs found and Dover Road Closure

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, October 7th, 2013, Clarksville Police Officers conducted a traffic stop at 8:49pm near Cumberland Bank on Dover Road, where drugs were found along with an unknown liquid substance.

The unknown liquid substance is why the Clarksville Fire Department’s Hazmat team was called and the road was shut down.

The bottle contained muriatic acid, which is used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Paraphernalia found included digital scales, cut straws, and apple bags.

There was about a gram of white powder (meth) and amphetamine pills.

The subject, Tamera Dennis, stopped was charged with Schedule 2 drug violations x2, Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacturing and UDP. The CFD and a Drug Task Force Agent responded and the acid was neutralized. This was not a meth lab.

The Clarksville Police Officers who were exposed to the acid were decontaminated.

There is no further information at this time.
