APSU Lady Govs Volleyball lose final game of the season to Morehead State Eagles

 

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUMorehead, KY – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team played a nip-and-tuck affair with Ohio Valley Conference regular-season champion Morehead State, but fell in four sets (23-25, 22-25, 25-22, 22-25) in the regular season finale for both teams, Saturday night at Wetherby Gymnasium.

APSU Governors Football comes up short in 36-34 loss to Southeast Missouri Redhawks

 

Austin Peay State University Governors Sports - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s bid for its first 2013 football victory came up short, Saturday afternoon, as Southeast Missouri State University held on for a 36-34 decision in Ohio Valley Conference football action at Governors Stadium.

This was the last football game played in Governors Stadium as it is currently configured.

Clarksville’s 2nd annual Handmade Holiday event sees large turnout, continues Sunday, November 17th

 

Handmade HolidaysClarksville, TN – On Saturday, November 16th the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department put on the 2nd Annual Handmade Holidays event at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center located at Clarksville’s Liberty Park. The event kicked off at 10:00am and went until 6:00pm.

Vendors were on hand selling handmade and handcrafted holiday themed items. The event has grown from last years 40 booths to over 60 vendor booths this year.

2nd Annual Handmade Holidays-a Crafters Bazaar was held Saturday at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.

Clarksville High School All-State Pitcher Heather Norris signs with Austin Peay State University Lady Govs

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – For the past three years Clarksville High School pitcher Heather Norris has made a name for herself in the pitcher’s circle and at the plate for the Lady Wildcats, helping lead CHS to its first ever state tournament appearance last season, as well as earning multiple All-State honors.

With her senior season just a few months away, the right-hander won’t have to worry about what her future may hold at the next level, as she signed her NCAA Division I Letter of Intent, November 15th, to play her collegiate career for the Lady Govs at Austin Peay State University.

Fort Campbell, KY – Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Regiment, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), have been busy preparing for not one, but two separate deployments.

Even as the battalion trains for an upcoming indirect fire protection mission, the soldiers of the Sentinel radar platoon in Battery C, prepare themselves for their mission of scanning the air for threats.

APSU Lady Govs Volleyball signs three during fall signing period

 

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University volleyball coach Taylor Mott put her first full recruiting campaign to good use, adding three players during the fall signing period. Kelly Ferguson, of Lemont, IL; Ashley Slay, of Nashville, TN; and Christina White, of Memphis, TN will join the Lady Govs program for the 2014 campaign.
