Clarksville-Montgomery County under a Tornado Watch and Weather Advisory Sunday, November 17th 2013

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)Montgomery County, TN – The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the Clarksville-Montgomery County area until 9:00pm.

This Tornado Watch is also for Benton County, Cheatham County, Davidson County, Dickson County, Houston County, Humphreys County, Macon County, Robertson County, Steward County and Sumner County.

Weather Advisory

At 6:00pm CT, National Weather Service Meteorologists were tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 11 miles Northwest of Springfield to 10 miles East of Erin to 9 miles West of Tennessee Ridge moving at 35 MPH.

Some of the locations in the path of this storm are Houston County Airport, Palmyra, Cumberland City, Clarksville, Adams, Cunningham, Cedar Hill, Tennessee Ridge, Erin, Springfield, Orlinda and Pleasant View

Winds from 40 to 50 MPH are expected with these storms.
