The restaurant was remodeled using an innovative interior and exterior design, which is part of a comprehensive brand transformation to reinvent the Wendy’s restaurant environment – from food innovation to building design to new packaging.  It is just the second new-look Wendy’s in Tennessee, and the first in central TN.

“This restaurant has bold curb appeal and features a compelling, innovative interior and exterior design,” said Wendy’s Franchisee Mike O’Malley.  “It’s very different from what our customers in Clarksville are used to, but we think they’ll really like the fresh look and feel of the new Wendy’s.”

In 2013, Wendy’s intends to re-image at least 100 company and 100 franchise restaurants in North America.  In addition, Wendy’s is offering $10 million in cash incentives for franchisees to remodel existing Wendy’s restaurants.

Wendy’s has conducted nationwide research and studied every aspect of the customer’s experience in redesigning its restaurants.  Based on this feedback, Wendy’s completely overhauled the interiors and exteriors of the building in Clarksville.  This restaurant features a contemporary design with large windows and natural materials.

The interior showcases open, bright dining areas, with multiple seating options.  There is a new customer ordering process inside, digital screens, flat screen TV’s, and a fireplace.  The Coca-Cola Freestyle self-serve soft drink dispenser offers over 100 flavors for customers to create their favorite inside and at the drive-thru.

Remodeling restaurants is part of a multi-year strategy to reinvigorate the Wendy’s brand throughout North America and the way customers interact with Wendy’s. The brand strategy involves completely re-imaging the entire Wendy’s menu, as evidenced by launches of several new items, such as Berry Almond Chicken Salad, Dave’s Hot ‘N Juicy Cheeseburger and limited time items like the Flatbread Grilled Chicken Sandwich.

Other brand enhancements are new advertising and marketing campaigns, a revised Wendy’s logo, new crew uniforms and product packaging innovations.

“We are making great progress in all of these areas, and we think our customers will be surprised and excited about their new Wendy’s,” Franchisee Mike O’Malley said.
