Clarksville Police Department Assists Victim’s Family

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, November 22nd, 2013, one of our citizens, Moises Cedeño, lost his life in Nashville, TN, as a result of an attempted robbery.

The Clarksville Police Department’s Chaplain, Modesto Martinez, was contacted by the Nashville Metro Police Department’s Chaplain, requesting assistance to locate the family. Within an hour, Cedeños’s wife, Jennifer Cedeño, was located, along with Cedeño’s four small children, and Mrs. Cedeño’s brother.

This family has no other relatives in Clarksville, and the only support they had was Moises Cedeño. Chaplain Martinez had the difficult task of informing the family about the death of Moises Cedeño.

Chaplain Martinez and Officer Amberlece Oldham continued to support this family through the weekend while relatives came from out of town. Cedeno’s family expressed their gratitude for the support given to them by the Clarksville Police Department.

They also asked for the Chaplain Martinez to officiate the funeral service and he accepted the family’s request. The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 27th, 2013, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.

The Clarksville Police Department has no further information in regards to the investigation of the death of Moises Cedeño. The lead investigating agency is the Metro Police Department in Nashville.
