Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church donates van to Leap Organization

LEAP OrganizationClarksville, TN – The Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church donated a 15 passenger van to the Leap Organization to assist with transporting youth to various youth development program activities. On December 8th, 2013, members of the Leap Organization visited the church to express its sincere appreciation.

“I would like to thank Pastor Livingston, Deacon Rowland, and the members of Walnut Grove for their generous donation. Leap has not only put the van to good use in transporting youth, but also using it to transport the homeless on Thanksgiving day to be fed by Manna Cafe,” said Leap Executive Director Richard Reason Garrett before the congregation.

Pastor Carl Livingston had this to say about the donation, ” Whenever we find people doing meaningful ministry helping others, we are delighted to support them. The Leap ministry is a paragon ministry of service and goodwill to humanity. This is how you change the world one life at a time.”

The LEAP Organization founded in 2009, is an 501(c)(3) non profit organization. It’s mission is to strengthen families and develop youth by providing holistic mentoring, counseling, career development, tutoring, and community service learning opportunities for youth. L.E.A.P. which stands for Leadership, Enlightenment, Academic Achievement, and Perseverance, also teaches its members about Outreach, Responsibility, and Growth.

Leap’s positive youth development program views young people as “resources” who have much to offer rather than as “problems” that need to be treated or fixed. Their vision is to encourage youth to be productive citizens with a foundation of faith, hope, and love.
