Sophomore Tiasha Gray scored 27 points in the loss to Chattanooga and took over the month’s scoring lead at 50 points (12.5 ppg). Junior Kristen Stainback has been the Lady Govs most consistent performer during the month, averaging 11.3 points and shooting 42.2 percent from the floor.

Wichita State has posted a 7-2 start, including six straight wins. The Shockers own wins against OVC member Southeast Missouri (67-46, November 20th) and Arkansas State (66-47, December 12th), a common opponent with APSU.

Junior guard Alex Harden and senior forward Michelle Price provide WSU’s one-two punch. Harden leads the team in scoring (14.7 ppg) and assists (5.8 apg) while Price leads the team in rebounding (7.2 rpg) and is second in scoring (13.4 ppg). Wichita State’s defense is ranked 15th nationally, limiting opponents to 55.2 points per game.

Austin Peay brings a four-game losing streak into this weekend’s tournament, its longest losing streak this season. Sophomore guard Tiasha Gray leads the Lady Govs in scoring (16.0 ppg) and assists (5.5 apg) and her 4.7 rebounds per game ranks second on the team this season. Six different Lady Govs have led the team in scoring during the season, junior Kristen Stainback becoming the latest to join the group with her 14-point performance at Louisville.
