Tennessee Titans hold on to beat Jacksonville Jaguars 20-16

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Down 10 points early in the 3rd quarter, the Tennessee Titans (6-9) come from behind scoring 14 unanswered points to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-11) 20-16 at EverBank Field.

The Titans got the go ahead score when clutch receiver Nate Washington slipped behind the Jaguars defense and hauled in a 30 yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick just 0:29 seconds into the 4th quarter. It was a lead Tennessee would not relinquish.

Consumer Reports says Potentially Harmful Bacteria Found on 97 Percent Of Chicken Breasts Tested

 

About half of samples tested had at least one bacteria resistant to three or more classes of antibiotics; bacteria were more resistant to antibiotics approved for use in chicken production

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – In its most comprehensive tests of meat and poultry to date, Consumer Reports found bacteria that could make consumers sick on nearly all of the 316 raw chicken breasts purchased at retail nationwide.

While Consumer Reports has consistently been testing chicken for more than 15 years, this is the first time it has looked at the contamination rates for six different bacteria – enterococcus (79.8 percent), E.coli (65.2 percent), campylobacter (43 percent), klebsiella pneumonia (13.6 percent), salmonella (10.8 percent), and staphylococcus aureus (9.2 percent). «Read the rest of this article»

The Federal Open Market Committee decided to reduce the monthly pace of asset purchases from $85 billion to $75 billion in January. The FOMC added that it expects to further reduce the pace of asset purchases “in measured steps” depending on the economic data (that may mean every other Fed policy meeting in 2014).

It also emphasized that the federal funds target rate would remain in its current low range (0-0.25%) even after the unemployment rate falls below 6.5%.

Clarksville Police charge soldier for causing multiple accidents

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville police have released more information concerning a series of vehicle accidents that occurred on Friday.
