Clarksville Police charge soldier for causing multiple accidents

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville police have released more information concerning a series of vehicle accidents that occurred on Friday.

Police indicate they received a call that a possible intoxicated driver was headed south on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in a white 1997 Chevrolet Camaro.  Nushawn Gaskin, was driving from the Olive Garden restaurant, and allegedly, was involved in multiple vehicle crashes.

First, on Center Point Drive and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.  According to reports, Gaskin’s vehicle crashed into a 2001 Toyota Tacoma.

Second, at Trenton Road and 101st Airborne Division Parkway, Gaskin’s vehicle crashed into a Toyota Tundra.

The third crash, where the location was not given, involved Gaskin running into a Chrysler Town and Country.

Finally, at Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Dunbar Cave, Gaskin crashed into a GMC Sierra.

There were three individuals injured and transported by EMS to Gateway Medical Center. One of the injured was Gaskin.

Nushawn Gaskin, 28 yrs old, was an Active Duty soldier recently released from Fort Sill, OK, for desertion and was just released from KY authorities after serving 90 days.

He has two capiases on file. One capias is for a Domestic Assault and one capias is for Driving on Revoked License. He will be charged for DUI and other charges are pending. There is no further information at this time.
