Clarksville Police report truck crash at Youth Academy of Clarksville

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, January 17th, 2014 at 11:00pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a crash that occurred at 901 Professional Park Drive; Youth Academy of Clarksville.

Witnesses stated that a silver 2004 Ford F-250 pickup truck was traveling East on Professional Park Drive when it abruptly drove into the parking lot running over the curbs. The vehicle then traveled through the parking lot and drove completely into one of the Youth Academy buildings.

There were three individuals in the truck and they all got out of it. Two of the individuals got into a silver Dodge Charger and drove off.

The third individual took off running towards the back of the building and into the woods. One of the occupants left a green sweatshirt in the middle of a field that contained car keys and a cell phone charger.

Ms. Niesha Bonner, an employee of the Youth Academy, stated that she was working with the copy machine, noticed headlights coming straight at her and ran in the other room to avoid getting struck.

There were two small children being baby sat only 15 feet away from where the truck finally stopped in the middle of the building. There was severe damage done to both the truck and the building. No children or employees had any injuries. The occupants of the truck are still at large.
