4th Annual Sustainable Tourism Business Seminar to be held at Land Between the Lakes

Land Between the Lakes - LBLGolden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) will host the 4th Annual Sustainable Business Seminar on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at the Golden Pond Visitor Center from 8:30am to 2:30pm.

Business owners interested in improving their current business strategies are encouraged to attend. The cost is $10.00 per person and includes lunch. Late registration is $15.00 after February 14th.

This year focuses on “Triple Bottom Line – People, Planet, Profit.” Topics include developing successful teams and leaders, marketing a sustainable company, moving towards a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, keeping your bottom line positive, and changing into a more sustainable operation.

Presenters include experts from Murray State University’s Small Business Development Center and Jesse D. Jones College of Science, Engineering and Technology; Tennessee Department of Tourist Development; Emerald Resources; and Tennessee Office of Sustainable Practices.

“At Land Between The Lakes, we understand how important small businesses are to the local economy. We’ve designed this seminar to provide business owners with tools they can use to improve their current business strategies. It can be surprising how one small change in business operations will often produce positive results,” said Business Performance Manager, Scott Turner.

Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area is managed by the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.
