The Lady Govs will seek to solidify its position within the division against Southeast Missouri. However, Austin Peay also seeks to remain in the race for a top-four seed within the conference as a whole.
The Redhawks won the season’s first meeting between the two teams, a 75-64 decision in Clarksville, January 4th. Austin Peay shot just 25 percent in the final 16 minutes of that contest. Five APSU players are averaging 10 or more points in conference play, sophomore Tiasha Gray pacing the team with 14.4 points per game. Five APSU players have recorded a double-double this season, sophomore Jennifer Nwokocha leading APSU with five double-doubles. Austin Peay’s non-conference opponents have combined for a .558 win percentage this season and APSU’s non-conference strength of schedule ranks 48th according to WBBState.com. Senior forward Patricia Mack is SEMO’s leading rebounder in OVC action and in six OVC contests, ranking third among league rebounders at 10.9 rebounds per OVC contest. Southeast Missouri is 5-4 at the Show Me Center this season, including a 2-2 record in conference play.
