Austin Peay State University art exhibit “Fail Forward” now open

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – For years, visitors to Austin Peay State University’s Wilbur N. Daniel African-American Cultural Center have admired the art gallery set up in the front lobby. Particularly, they’ve commented on the colorful, abstract paintings by alumna Miesha Arnold.

The artist generously donated her work to the University, and this month, the Center is hosting an exhibition of her watercolors, titled “Fail Forward.”

The display, which is free and open to the public, is part of the Center’s Black History Month programming.

A reception with the artist is scheduled for 5:00pm on February 20th.

“I will be showing 12 limited edition watercolor illustrations,” Arnold wrote on her website http://mieshaarnold.wordpress.com/. “I will have prints for sale, so come out and enjoy my thoughts and emotions on paper.”

The Wilbur N. Daniel African-American Cultural Center is located in room 120 of the Clement Building.
