Game 1 Rossview vs. Clarksville High

The Rossview Lady Hawks came into the semifinals undefeated in District 10-AAA games. Their post game, led by senior Janie White, had dominated opponents all season.

In the first period of the game, it appeared the Lady Wildcats had an effective plan to end the domination. However, the plan only delayed the Lady Hawks take off as they soared the rest of the game to a 63-29 victory.

White led the way with a double-double: 23 points and 12 rebounds. She was one of eight different Lady Hawks to score. Mickey Head and Haylee Croom both scored 9 points.

The Lady Wildcats defense came out strong. They made it difficult for the Lady Hawks guards to work the ball into the post. The Lady Hawks shot 0-of-8 from the field in the first period, but they converted 7-of-9 from the free throw line.

The Lady Hawks came out in the second period more aggressive offensively and the Lady Wildcats attempt to shutout the post game failed. The Lady Hawks opened the second period with a 9-0 run.

They outscored the Lady Wildcats 21 to 6 in the second period, shooting 6-of-14 from the field and taking a 28-12 halftime lead.

White converted 12-of-14 from the free throw line on her way to 16 first half points. The Lady Hawks combined to make 27-of- 38 free throw attempts in the game.

The Lady Hawks maintained their double-digit lead throughout the second half. They held the Lady Wildcats to 17 second half points.

Haley Bearden and Aliyah Miller led the Lady Wildcats with 7 points.

Game 2 West Creek vs. Kenwood

Kenwood Lady Knight Alonja Thomas scored 17 points in the final period, bringing her team from behind to get the 64-55 win.

After 3 periods, the West Creek Lady Coyotes had established an eight point lead, 43-35. They opened the fourth period with a 4-0 run extending the lead to double digits.

With just over five minutes remaining in the game, Thomas drove to the basket, was fouled while scoring and converted the three-point play from the free throw line. It was the beginning of an 8-2 run that cut the Lady Coyotes lead down to eight points.

As the clock wound down, the Lady Knights defense produced Lady Coyote turnovers and Thomas continued to score points.

The Lady Coyotes made eight turnovers in the fourth period and shot 3-of-8 from the field.

At the 2:22 mark Thomas made the shot that tied the game 54-54. She went on to score the next 6 points and 7 of the Lady Coyotes last 10 points for the win.

Thomas finished the game with 33 points and 14 rebounds. Samone James and Analies Osborne both scored 10 points.

Shayla Smith led the Lady Coyotes with 13 points. Quyneeria Davis and Ariana Prather both scored 11 points.
