Clarksville Police request assistance identifying One Hundred-Dollar Bill Scammers

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying scammers.

Two subjects have been hitting retailers in the Clarksville and Nashville areas for the last few years.

The two will select an item and take it to the register to pay for it. They start a conversation with the cashier and hand them a one hundred-dollar bill ($100.00).

Clarksville Police are looking for information on these suspects in connection to a One Hundred-Dollar Bill Scam.

While the cashier is counting out change, they either take the one hundred-dollar bill back, or ask for it back and convince the cashier that they did not get the money back.

This has happened at least three times in the past 30 days in the Wilma Rudolph Boulevard area.
