Senator Mark Green launches online interactive voter education and communication platform

V.O.T.E. stands for Votility Open and Transparent Exchange; a one-of-a-kind grassroots engagement software designed for elected officials who desire constituent input on policy issues.

For years, member-based groups have engaged their members to affect the policy decisions of a representative, but never has an elected official taken this step to engage their constituents, in a measurable, transparent way, to assist them in doing the will of the people.

The V.O.T.E. platform allows constituents to easily engage, provide near real-time feedback and stay engaged, on the important issues of the day. The software provides every voter in the district an ongoing voice on the issues affecting them, their families or businesses, regardless of their political affiliation.

The cost of the service is paid for by the Senator and free to his constituents.  A link to it can be accessed here: http://www.markgreenfortennessee.com/

Votility is a password-protected platform in which the representative and constituent can have an ongoing and open exchange on public policy.

This exchange of policy ideas, proposals and opinions can move freely back and forth between the electors and the elected without third party influences.

Votility also gives the constituents in that district the ability to socially share a bill of interest to further drive public opinion, which can be followed closely by the representative.

The representative can now use district-specific, voter-specific data to help craft policy and inform their vote, which serves the interests of the public.

Votility CEO, Brent Willis says, “In a representative form of government, Senator Mark Green is the first state elected official in the country to use a tool specifically for constituent education and communication. We applaud his leadership, courage, and willingness to listen to and hold himself accountable to the people in his district. I hope the people of the 22nd district take full advantage of the opportunity to openly engage with the one they elected.”

Senator Mark Green says, “ This technology gives members of my district a stronger voice and the ability to take action on legislation that directly affects them.  It is a very powerful tool in the hands of the voter and I look forward to the feedback.”

With Senator Green leading the way in Tennessee and across the nation, it sets the stage for other elected officials to engage and develop this type of constituent relationship.
