Clarksville Street Department to offer Yard Debris Pick Up Service starting March 24th, 2014

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is again encouraging Clarksville residents to take advantage of a service to help keep Clarksville clean.

Beginning March 24th, 2014, the Street Department is offering to pick up yard debris such as grass clippings, leaves and limbs for Clarksville residents.

“Spring weather and spring cleaning often include yard clean-up.  This service is a great day to dispose of yard debris in a cost efficient way.  I appreciate the Street Department for offering this service again and I hope our citizens will take advantage of it,” Mayor McMillan said.

Leaves must be collected and placed in biodegradable paper bags or cardboard boxes and placed near the street (but not in the street) for collection.  Tree limbs must be 6’ or less in length and the Street Department will not pick up limbs that have been pruned by a commercial company.

The service will continue through April 21st, 2014.  To arrange pick up of yard debris, leaves or limbs, you must contact that Clarksville Street Department at 931.472.3350 ext. 3353 or 931.645.7464.
