Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion to host Eagle Warrior Golf Scramble April 4th

Community golf scramble with wounded, ill, injured Soldiers and veterans

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – The Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion is hosting the Inaugural Eagle Warrior Golf Scramble April 4th at the Clarksville Country Club in Clarksville, Tennessee.

“The Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion recognizes the importance of community involvement in the comprehensive care and support that it takes to rehabilitate our Soldiers back to the force and as productive veterans,” said WTB Commander Lt. Col. Bryan Walrath. “This tournament is just one way to raise awareness of who we are, what we do, and to say thank you to everyone in our community who supports our wounded, ill and injured Soldiers as they go through their transition process.”

Each player’s $75.00 registration fee includes green fees for 18 holes, team golf cart, driving range, breakfast, lunch, a voucher for a free golf club and other giveaways.

In addition, players will have the opportunity to win a $10,000 hole-in-one purse and prizes for best dressed, closest to the pin, longest drive, most honest team as well as door prizes.

Each four-person team is encouraged to include at least one wounded, ill or injured Soldier or veteran so they may share their story with the group. Players may contact the Warrior Transition Battalion for assistance finding a Soldier to join their team.

“We want to encourage the entire community to enjoy a great day of golf and learn more about how we help wounded, ill and injured Soldiers transition successfully back to the force or out into the civilian world as honored veterans,” said Walrath.
