Northeast Eagles Baseball flys past Kenwood Knights, 4-1

 

Northeast High School EaglesClarksville, TN – As the last days of the high school baseball regular season count down, winning games becomes more crucial, especially against conference opponents. As a result, both the Kenwood Knights and the Northeast Eagles felt the pressure in their District 10-AAA face off at Northeast High School Tuesday, April 22nd.

An impressive pitching performance by Evan Frawley helped the Eagles rise to the occasion and defeat the Knights 4-1.

Nashville Sounds lose 5-1 to Omaha Storm Chasers

Nashville SoundsPapillion, NE – Omaha hurler Sugar Ray Marimon tossed a quality start to lead the host Omaha Storm Chasers to a 5-1 victory over the Nashville Sounds on Tuesday afternoon in the series finale at Werner Park, resulting in a split of the four games.

Marimon (2-0) defeated the Sounds for the second time in a week, holding Nashville (9-10) to one run on six hits while fanning seven in his 6 1/3 innings of work.

Country artist Randy Houser to headline Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires Saturday night

Clarksville Police make additional arrests in the death of Mark Walraven

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On April 22nd, 2014, Detectives with the Clarksville Police Department Homicide Unit made two additional arrests in the death of 31 year old Mark Walraven of Clarksville Tennessee.

On April 14th, 2014, Walraven was found deceased in a vehicle that crashed into a telephone pole at the intersection of Lafayette Road and Kelsey Drive. Fort Campbell offers Drug Take Back in April

Rivers and Spires Road Closures Announced

 

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – Road closures have been announced this week for the 12th Annual Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville.

Some street closures will begin Wednesday, April 23rd. All street will be open again Sunday, April 27th by 7:00am.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUFlorence, AL – For a second straight year Austin Peay State University’s Jessica Cathey has been selected to the All-Ohio Valley Conference women’s golf team.

That was announced Monday night at the annual OVC Championship banquet, held at Sperry’s Streakhouse in Florence, AL.
