Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The 2014 Rivers and Spires Festival kicked off with a bang Thursday night and the fun continues tonight. Thunderstorms that moved through the area last night are gone and the weather forecast is partly sunny with a high of 73°F. The music starts at 5:00pm and continues until 10:00pm.

New to Rivers and Spires this year is the free, fully interactive gaming area in the underground parking garage located on Franklin Street. Gig City Gaming, presented by CDE Lightband, will feature over 50 titles and will cater to over 30,000 gamers.

Gaming, provided by Layer 3 Communications and Brocade Communications Systems, will be on in full force on April 25th from 6:00pm-9:00pm and April 26th from 10:00am to 8:00pm.

The Gig City Gaming area will be host to several different types of games, including titles such as Call of Duty, HALO, Dance Central and Super Street Fighter 4. Early in the day, the younger crowd will find the games that are more up their alley, but as the day goes on, the content may get a little to rough for the little ones.

7 Bridges Eagles Tribute Band will hit the Public Square Stage at 7:30pm. The Ultimate Eagles Experience is a stunningly accurate tribute to the music of the Eagles. Using no backing tracks or harmonizers, 7 Bridges faithfully re-creates the experience of an Eagles concert from the most prolific period of the band.

Every show features one brilliant hit single after another with some might Don Henley and Joe Walsh surprises sprinkled into the mix. 7 Bridges offers the perfect blend of songs to capture all levels of Eagles devotees.

Come 9:00pm, The Swon Brothers will be on the Public Square Stage to close out Friday night’s Rivers and Spires. The Swon Brothers were recently finalists on NBC’s The Voice on team Blake.

Prior to their Voice experience however, The Swon Brothers spent years performing and recording music on their own label, which has been well-received among their ever-growing fan base.

Songs like the irresistibly catchy Oklahoma Lovin and the bluesy, soulful This Close To Gone not only show off their diverse vocal strengths, but also their ability to write gripping lyrics that resonate with audiences from young to old.

Come out and treat yourself to live music and good food on the second day of the 2014 Rivers and Spires Festival.
