Screaming Eagle Trail Showcase to be held at Montgomery Bell State Park May 1st

Tennessee Department of TourismNashville, TN – Discover the hidden gems of The Screaming Eagle Trail during The Screaming Eagle Trail showcase noon to 2:00pm, May 1st at Montgomery Bell State Park.

Deputy Commissioner Brock Hill for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation will make opening remarks. Screaming Eagle Trail is one of 16 self-guided driving trails in the Discover Tennessee Trails & Byways system.

This special event, open to the public, will help raise awareness about the Screaming Eagle Trail,  to tourism and economic development partners, business leaders, elected officials and the general public.

The event will showcase the travel opportunities available through the Discover Tennessee Trails & Byways initiative and the adventures waiting in Tennessee’s award-winning State Parks System.

Living history performances, a performance by the Roxy Regional Theatre, demonstrations, music by the Harvest Bluegrass Band, quilt displays, free drawings for tickets to the Johnny Cash Museum, The Ryman and Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and more activities will be scheduled. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour cabins and the Montgomery Bell golf course.

The Screaming Eagle Trail celebrates Middle Tennessee’s history, legends and heroes, landscape, music and cuisine. The trail winds through Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery and Stewart counties, giving Tennessee travelers an opportunity to explore “off the beaten path” treasures in the state.
