Tennessee Titans select Penn State Defensive Tackle DaQuan Jones with their First, Fourth Round Pick

Tennessee TitansDaQuan JonesNashville, TN – On Saturday, May 10th, 2014 the Tennessee Titans took Penn State defensive tackle DaQuan Jones with their first pick (112th overall) in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The 6’4″ 322 lbs Jones is quick to get off the snap, athletic and has a strong upper body. He can rush, distrupt and collapse the pocket.

Jones led Penn State with 11.5 tackles for loss and was earned the team’s 2013 Outstanding Senior Player award.

He ranked fifth on the squad with 56 tackles (33 solo), recorded three sacks (minus-21) and had a fumble recovery. He started in 23 games of 46 games.

Jones led all Big Ten defensive tackles in stops during the 2013 season.

He has the ability to make an imediate impact for the Titans. With his big body and power, he can easily play a 4-3 or 3-4 defense.
