Keller Williams Realty set to lend a hand for the Sixth Annual “RED Day” in Clarksville, TN

PhotoGrid_1400096869804Clarksville, TN – Keller Williams associates may be taking the day off on Thursday, May 8th, 2014, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Associates with Keller Williams Realty have chosen to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, the company’s annual day of service, dedicated to renewing, energizing, and donating to their local communities..

As part of the RED Day effort, Keller Williams Realty has chosen to spend the day with the L.E.A.P Foundation at 1860 Wilma Rudolph Blvd and Clarksville Christian School at 505 Highway 76.  The L.E.A.P Organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides mentoring, tutoring, case management, counseling, career development, and community service learning opportunities for youth. L.E.A.P, which stands for Leadership, Enlightenment, Academic Achievement, and Perseverance, also teaches its members about Outreach, Responsibility, and Growth.

Clarksville Christian School is a privately funded school whose purpose is to foster and maintain an educational and Christian environment wherein God is glorified in every respect academically, socially, and morally according to the teachings of the Bible.

“RED Day is built on the belief that people can and should come together to achieve extraordinary things to help others,” said Team Leader Kevin Vanaken.  “Last year, we did some cleaning, landscaping and mural painting at Byrns Darden Elementary School. We can’t tell you what an impact it made on each of us personally. We all know that filling all the gaps in our communities can’t be accomplished by serving just once a year. RED Day just happens to be the one-day expression of the constant state of the Keller Williams culture. We see a need, discover who can meet it and get it done.”

“It really meant a lot to see my fellow agents support LEAP during Red Day. The social responsibility that Keller Williams promotes among its agents is truly evident in our commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the Clarksville community. I’m grateful for Sherwin Williams donating the materials and all the realtors who represented Keller Williams proudly to show our kids that the business community is willing to invest time and money in their development.” commented Richard “Reason” Garrett LEAP Executive Director & KW Realtor.

“Clarksville Christian School is extremely appreciative of Keller Williams Realty and the service they offered to us. Our campus looks beautiful. We’re excited about our growth. Keller Williams Realty has been a huge help in making our campus a beautiful place that kids can be excited to come and attend. So thank you very much!” – Amanda Binkley, Clarksville Christian School.

Since the first RED Day in 2009, Keller Williams associates have given almost a half million hours of community service through activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, revamping gardens at nursing homes and rebuilding homes and schools for community members in need. To this day, it is one of the largest events in the real estate industry.
