Lend Lease (US) Community Fund presents $35,000 in college scholarships to Fort Campbell High School Seniors

Lend LeaseNashville, TN – Campbell Crossing’s project director, Mike Goodwin, presented seven Fort Campbell High School Seniors with college scholarships sponsored by the Lend Lease (US) Community Fund during the Fort Campbell High School Honors Night on Thursday, May 15th.

The seven scholarship recipients- Gage D. Bradford, La Nyrah C. White, Druanne J. Sutton, Rebecca L. Cote, Sabina Mae S. Aguon, Marjery N. Capalar and Tishan M. Bunn- are Campbell Crossing residents and attend Fort Campbell High School. They were chosen based on a variety of factors, including grade point average, volunteer work and community involvement.

“It was an honor to present seven outstanding students with scholarships from the BlueStar Scholarship Program,” said Mike Goodwin, project director for Campbell Crossing. “Being able to help these young men and women pursue their dreams is an honor and privilege. When I read through their scholarship applications and gained a better understanding of who they are, the challenges many of them have overcome, and their sincere desire to make this world a better place it was easy for me to see why they were selected. Lend Lease’s commitment to this type of program has helped these young men and women start down the road to becoming the adults they’ve always dreamed of becoming, and I’m proud to have played a small part in that journey.”

The Lend Lease BlueStar Scholarship Program is part of the Lend Lease (US) Community Fund, which was established to support military families who live in our homes and neighborhoods and the communities where Lend Lease employees work and live.

It supports growth and development by funding projects that address community challenges in areas of housing, education, health, economic development, and environmental sustainability which create and support programming that improves the quality of life for military families who sacrifice so much for us.

Each student received a $5,000 scholarship to be used for expenses during their freshman year of college.
