Clarksville-Montgomery County School System Director Dr. B.J. Worthington selected for Tennessee STEM Leadership Council

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – Dr. B.J. Worthington, director of schools for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, has been chosen to serve in the first cohort of the Tennessee Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Leadership Council.

More than 100 applications from across the state were submitted but only 10 K-12 teachers and administrators were invited to serve the two-year term.

The STEM Leadership Council will promote and guide Tennessee as the leading state in STEM-related industries and academic research.

As a member of the Council, Worthington will partner with other statewide organizations such as Pathways Tennessee, the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network, and the Department of Education’s Centers of Regional Excellence.

Worthington was selected a 2014 “Education Week Leader to Learn From” as a result of the STEM work accomplished in CMCSS.
