Featuring Throwback Thursday, Three Fireworks Nights, Four Giveaway Nights, Faith Night, Nashville’s First Past & Present Doubleheader and More

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds continue their #LastCheerAtGreer with the team’s sixth homestand of the year at Greer Stadium, which begins this Thursday, June 26th.

The eight-game homestand features a pair of four-game series against division rivals, as the Sounds will first play the New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins affiliate) from June 26th-29th and then resume the I-40 Cup Series with the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals affiliate) from June 30th-July 3rd.

Highlighting the homestand’s worth of promotions will be a special 90’s themed Throwback Thursday, Friday and Nashville NEWS 2 Saturday Firework shows, Nashville’s first-ever “Past and Present Doubleheader,” the fourth Trevecca Nazarene University FAITH NIGHT® that will feature the first in a series of Three Wise Men bobblehead giveaways and a special Independence Day Fireworks Celebration on July 3rd.

Thursday, June 26th

Nashville Sounds vs. New Orleans Zephyrs
7:05pm (Gates Open at 6:05pm)

The Sounds open their homestand against New Orleans on a special 90’s themed Throwback Thursday presented by The Tennessean. Fans are encouraged to dress in styles from the decade for the chance to win a Nashville Sounds prize pack and Ozzie Gnome.

Fans attending can also enjoy throwback $2.00 prices on beer, soda, hot dogs, popcorn, and nachos.

College students can receive one $5.00 General Admission ticket offer with a valid college ID, while all fans can receive one $5.00 General Admission ticket offer with the Throwback Thursday coupon printed in Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday editions of The Tennessean.

Friday, June 27th

Nashville Sounds vs. New Orleans Zephyrs
7:05pm (Gates Open at 6:05pm)

The Sounds flagship station, 102.5 FM “The Game”, will take over Greer Stadium and broadcast its afternoon show “Sports Night” with George Plaster, Willy Daunic, and Darren McFarland, live from 3:00pm-7:00pm on 94.9-FM “The Game2”.

A season of special giveaways continues on Friday when the first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a Don Mattingly Jersey T-shirt courtesy of Coca-Cola. The evening will conclude with another fabulous Friday Fireworks show.

Saturday, June 28th

Nashville Sounds vs. New Orleans Zephyrs
6:35pm (Gates Open at 5:35pm)

On Saturday morning, the Nashville Sounds will be hosting the Dave Clark Disability Dream and Do clinic at Greer Stadium. More information on the event can be found at nashville.d3day.com.

As a part of our season-long tribute to the military, the first 1,500 fans through the gates Saturday night will receive a 2014 Nashville Sounds baseball card set, along with a special trading card set featuring local military heroes presented by Tennessee 811 and Piedmont Natural Gas. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a special pre-game ceremony that will honor these brave men and women along with their families.

Make sure to stick around after the game, as Nashville’s NEWS 2 will present a Saturday Fireworks display.

Sunday, June 29th

Nashville Sounds vs. New Orleans Zephyrs
6:35pm (Gates Open at 4:00pm)

The Sounds will celebrate the storied baseball history of Nashville with the first ever Past and Present Doubleheader, presented by The Nashville SCENE and Family Leisure. At 4:30pm, the 1864 Nashville Vintage Baseball League will hold its inaugural all-star game.

Admission is included with a purchase of a ticket to the Sounds game that night, and the first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a commemorative Past and Present Doubleheader Print.

The action-packed day at Greer will continue with the fourth Trevecca Nazarene University FAITH NIGHT®, featuring a concert by World Outreach Church on the plaza stage near the first-base entrance approximately one hour before first pitch. This game will also mark the beginning of Trevecca Nazarene University’s Bible Series Bobblehead giveaways, as the first 1,000 fans to enter Greer will receive a Wise Man #1 Bobblehead.

The Sounds will then conclude the twin bill with a game against the Zephyrs at 6:35pm. The team will wear camouflage jerseys, as a part of the season-long Piedmont Natural Gas Military Sunday promotion, presented by Tennessee 811. Servicemen/women, veterans, and their families receive $5.00 off reserved or general admission tickets with a valid Military ID; limit five discounted tickets per ID.

Also taking place each Sunday will be Faith and Family Sundays, where fans can receive $5.00 off tickets by presenting a church or community bulletin at the Sounds Advance Financial Box Office; limit eight discounted tickets per bulletin.

Finally, Ozzie’s Fit and Fun Club, presented by The Tennessean, continues its season Sunday. Ozzie’s Fit and Fun Club is a program for children of all ages, offering unique opportunities and loads of fun every Sunday home game at the ballpark. Memberships are $15.00 and include a t-shirt, water bottle, draw-string bag and Sounds tickets.

Sunday also marks Autograph Day at Greer Stadium, as a pair of Sounds players and Ozzie will be available for autographs inside the main gate one hour before first pitch.

Monday, June 30th

Nashville Sounds vs. Memphis Redbirds

The Sounds and Redbirds will resume the I-40 Cup Series on another SeatGeek.com Dollar Monday. Fans are eligible for a $1.00 ticket offer with the purchase of a regularly priced ticket by showing their www.SeatGeek.com mobile app at the box office. In addition, concessions will sell hot dogs for just $1.00 courtesy of SeatGeat.com.

Tuesday, July 1st

Nashville Sounds vs. Memphis Redbirds

The Nashville Sounds and Twice Daily are partnering up every Tuesday this season to provide fans a special two-for-one ticket offer. On game day, bring an in-store receipt from Daily’s or Twice Daily to the Advance Financial Box Office to receive the offer.

Wednesday, July 2nd

Great Clips #WebWednesdays reward fans that follow the Sounds on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with special offers. Fans can also receive $5.00 off a general admission ticket by presenting a Great Clips receipt at the box office (up to two per receipt).

Thursday, July 3rd

Nashville Sounds vs. Memphis Redbirds
7:05pm (Gates Open at 6:05pm)

The Sounds will celebrate Independence Day a day early at Greer, with a number of events to help fans get into the holiday spirit.

The first 2,000 fans to come through the gates will receive a patriotic Sounds T-shirt courtesy of Pandora Jewelry. Sounds players will also be wearing special red, white and blue jerseys, presented by Sport Clips, that will be auctioned off to benefit Help a Hero. The winning bidders will get to receive the jerseys from the players on the field after the game.

The night will conclude with an Independence Day Fireworks Celebration presented by the Nashville International Airport.

The team is asking fans to help say farewell to the venue it has called home for 37 years by coming to Sounds games this summer and using the hashtag #LastCheerAtGreer in social media.

Following the homestand, Nashville will make an eight-game road trip that will feature four-game series against the Round Rock Express (Texas Rangers affiliate) and the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals affiliate). The Sounds then return to Nashville and begin their seventh homestand on Friday, July 11th, when they host the Round Rock Express for three games.
