Clarksville Police report Robbery and Carjacking at the Exxon on Dover Road

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Early Saturday morning, June 28th, 2014 at 4:25am, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a Carjacking at the Exxon on Dover Road. The victim advised that someone attacked him, took his car keys, and then drove off with his vehicle.

A white male, mid 30s, wearing a white hat, white shirt, and blue jeans walked up to the victim and attacked him. The suspect asked for his keys and wallet and began grabbing and pushing him. A fight ensued that went all the way back into the store.

At this time, the store clerk saw what was going on and yelled at the suspect.

The suspect was able to take the car keys from the victim, and before the suspect went out the door, he climbed over the counter and ripped the cash register off and ran out the door with it.

He used the stolen car keys to start the victim’s vehicle and drove off toward Providence Boulevard. Shortly after, Officers located the vehicle wrecked out at a location on Locust Drive. The suspect fled on foot.

After an extensive search, the Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

There are no leads or suspects at this time. Detective Kevin Shaw was called to the scene and was able to provide photos of the suspect, which are included in this release.

Note: The suspect is not wearing his hat in the photos provided, but his hat can be seen in his hand in the photo where the suspect is climbing over the counter.

This is an ongoing investigation, and there is no further information at this time.
