Nashville Sounds upcoming eight game homestand to be highlighted by Famous San Diego Chicken’s Final appearance at Greer Stadium

Eight-Game Stretch Also Features Two Fireworks Shows, Two Giveaway Nights, Peanut Free Night, Throwback Thursday, Boy Scout Night and More

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds continue their #LastCheerAtGreer with the team’s seventh homestand of the year at Greer Stadium, which begins this Monday, July 21st.

The eight-game homestand features a pair of four-game series, as the Sounds will first play the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Colorado Rockies affiliate) from July 21st-24th and then the Oklahoma City RedHawks (Houston Astros affiliate) on July 25th-28th.

This homestand features a number of promotions including Peanut Free Night, Throwback Thursday with an appearance from The Famous San Diego Chicken, Sounds CARE Jersey Auction Night, firework shows on Friday and Saturday, BBQ Apron and Paintable Ozzie Bobblehead Giveaways.

Monday, July 21st

Nashville Sounds vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox
7:05pm (Gates Open at 6:05pm)

Nashville and Colorado Springs will kick off the homestand on a special night, as the Sounds and the Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center team up to hold Peanut Free Night at Greer Stadium. No peanuts or peanut-related products will be sold at the ballpark during the game, and special efforts will be made to clean the ballpark of any peanut residue in order to make it a fun evening at the ballpark for Sounds fans with peanut allergies.

That night’s game will also be a SeatGeek.com Dollar Monday. Fans are eligible for a $1.00 ticket offer with the purchase of a regularly priced ticket by showing their SeatGeek.com mobile app at the box office. In addition, concessions will sell hot dogs for just $1.00 courtesy of SeatGeat.com.

Tuesday, July 22nd

The Nashville Sounds and Twice Daily are partnering up every Tuesday this season to provide fans a special two-for-one ticket offer. On game day, bring an in-store receipt from Daily’s or Twice Daily to the Advance Financial Box Office to receive the offer.

Wednesday, July 23rd

Great Clips #WebWednesdays reward fans that follow the Sounds on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with special offers. Fans can also receive $5.00 off a general admission ticket by presenting a Great Clips receipt at the box office (up to two per receipt).

Thursday, July 24th

The Sounds and Sky Sox will wrap up their series on a special Throwback Thursday presented by The Tennessean, where fans attending can enjoy throwback $2.00 prices on beer, soda, hot dogs, popcorn, and nachos.

College students can receive one $5.00 General Admission ticket offer with a valid college ID, while all fans can receive one $5.00 General Admission ticket offer with the Throwback Thursday coupon printed in Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday editions of The Tennessean.

Making a special return visit to Greer Stadium for his #LastCheerAtGreer will be the Famous San Diego Chicken, presented by First Tennessee Bank. The nationally-recognized entertainer has completed more than 17,000 total appearances across America, including several at Greer throughout the years.

Friday, July 25th

Nashville Sounds vs. Oklahoma City RedHawks
7:05pm (Gates Open at 6:05pm)

The Sounds open a four-game series with the RedHawks, and the first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a free BBQ Apron courtesy of the Tennessee Beef Council.

Following the game, fans will be treated to another spectacular Friday Fireworks show.

Saturday, July 26th

Nashville Sounds vs. Oklahoma City RedHawks
6:35pm (Gates Open at 5:35pm)

The first 2,000 fans to come through the gates for Saturday’s game will receive a Paintable Ozzie Bobblehead courtesy of PPG Porter Paints. The Sounds are asking fans to send pictures of their painted bobbleheads to Ozzie for the chance to win special prizes.

The Sounds will be wearing special blue and black Sounds CARE jerseys presented by Mrs. Grissom’s Salads. A silent auction benefitting Harvest Hands will be held during the game at Fan Relations. Winning bidders will get to receive the jerseys, which depicts the Nashville skyline, off the players’ backs on the field after the game.

The evening will conclude with a NEWS 2 Saturday Fireworks Show.

Following the festivities, more than 1,500 Boy Scouts from the greater Nashville area will take to Greer Stadium’s outfield to meet Sounds players before setting up camp and staying overnight for the team’s annual Boy Scout Night. In the morning, Scouts will be treated to breakfast.

Sunday, July 27th

Nashville Sounds vs. Oklahoma City RedHawks
6:35pm (Gates Open at 5:35pm)

Every Sunday game at Greer this season will be a Military Sunday presented by Piedmont Natural Gas and Tennessee 811. The Sounds will wear camouflage jerseys, while servicemen/women, veterans, and their families receive $5.00 off reserved or general admission tickets with a valid Military ID; limit 5 discounted tickets per ID.

This game marks another Autograph Sunday, where select Sounds players will be made available for autographs at the main gate one hour before first pitch.

Also taking place each Sunday will be Faith and Family Sundays, where fans can receive $5.00 off tickets by presenting a church or community bulletin at the Sounds Advance Financial Box Office; limit eight discounted tickets per bulletin.

Finally, Ozzie’s Fit and Fun Club, presented by The Tennessean, continues its season Sunday. Ozzie’s Fit and Fun Club is a program for children of all ages, offering unique opportunities and loads of fun every Sunday home game at the ballpark. Memberships are $15.00 and include a t-shirt, water bottle, draw-string bag and Sounds tickets.

Monday, July 28th

The homestand will conclude the way it started, with another SeatGeek.com Dollar Monday. Following the homestand, the Sounds hit the road for an eight-day road trip featuring a pair of four-game series with Colorado Springs and New Orleans. The team will return to Greer Stadium on Thursday, August 7th, for the club’s second-to-last homestand.

The team is asking fans to help say farewell to the venue it has called home for 37 years by coming to Sounds games this summer and using the hashtag #LastCheerAtGreer in social media.
