Clarksville Police Department warns public of Red Flex Scam

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is currently investigating numerous scams involving an unknown Male contacting the public and representing himself as a Sergeant with the Montgomery County Sheriff Office.

They advise the victims that they have received a Red Flex Ticket, and a Judge with Montgomery County General Sessions Court has suspended their Driver’s License and issued a bench warrant for their arrest.

The Scammer further advises that if the victim submits a $996.00 Money Order that their license while be reinstated and the bench warrant dismissed.

The Montgomery County Sheriff Office has no association with Red Flex, and Red Flex will never contact you by phone. These fines are Civil so you aren’t subject to lose your license, jail time, and the fine is only $50.00 dollars.

If you are contacted by this individual do not send them a money order. If you are concerned that you received a Red Flex Ticket and / or received one of these bogus calls please contact the Clarksville Police Department to assist you.
