Five-Game Stand to Feature Bark In The Park, Throwback Thursday, a Pair of Bobblehead Giveaways and Firework Shows, a Star Wars-Themed Sounds CARE Jersey Auction, and another Trevecca Nazarene University FAITH NIGHT®

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds continue their #LastCheerAtGreer with the team’s eighth homestand of the year, which begins this Thursday, August 7th. This string of games will be the second-to-last homestand ever for the Sounds at Greer Stadium.

All five games will be crucial contests against the division-rival Round Rock Express (Texas Rangers affiliate) as the first-place Sounds continue their quest toward clinching a spot in the Pacific Coast League playoffs.

This homestand features a number of promotions including Throwback Thursday, a pair of bobblehead giveaways and firework shows, a Star Wars-themed Sounds CARE Jersey Auction, Bark In The Park, and another Trevecca Nazarene University FAITH NIGHT®.

Thursday, August 7th

Nashville Sounds Nashville Sounds vs. Round Rock Express
7:05pm (Gates Open at 6:05pm)

Nashville and Round Rock will kick off the homestand on a Throwback Thursday presented by The Tennessean. Fans attending can enjoy throwback $2.00 prices on beer, soda, hot dogs, popcorn, and nachos.

College students can receive one $5.00 General Admission ticket offer with a valid college ID, while all fans can receive one $5.00 General Admission ticket offer with the Throwback Thursday coupon printed in Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday editions of The Tennessean.

Friday, August 8th

Nashville Sounds vs. Round Rock Express
7:05pm (Gates Open at 6:05pm)

The first 2,000 fans to come through the gates will receive a Vintage Bobblehead wearing a 1978 Sounds uniform, courtesy of The Tennessean. Following the game, fans will be treated to another great Friday Fireworks show.

Saturday, August 9th

Nashville Sounds vs. Round Rock Express
6:35pm (Gates Open at 5:05pm)

Saturday marks the sixth of seven Trevecca Nazarene University FAITH NIGHTs® in 2014. A pregame concert featuring Rush of Fools will take place on the Plaza Stage approximately one hour before first pitch.

This night also marks the final Bible Series Bobblehead giveaway presented by Trevecca Nazarene University, as the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Wise Man #3 bobblehead.

It will also be Star Wars Night at Greer Stadium, and the Sounds will be wearing special wookie-themed jerseys. During the game, a silent auction for the game-worn jerseys will be held to benefit Nashville RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) and Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. Winning bidders will receive the jerseys from the players on the field after the game.

The evening will conclude with a firework show presented by Nashville’s News 2.

Sunday, August 10th

Nashville Sounds vs. Round Rock Express
6:35pm (Gates Open at 5:35pm)

Sunday marks the first time since 2004 that the Sounds will host “Bark In The Park,” presented in partnership with the Nashville Humane Association, which gives fans a chance to bring their favorite pooch to the ballpark.

Prior to the game, a puppy parade will be held on the field. All interested dog owners should report to the right field corner adjacent to Section A by 5:45pm to participate.

The Sounds will wear camouflage jerseys for Piedmont Natural Gas Military Sunday, while servicemen/women, veterans, and their families receive $5.00 off reserved or general admission tickets with a valid Military ID; limit 5 discounted tickets per ID.

This game marks another Autograph Sunday, where select Sounds players will be made available for autographs at the main gate one hour before first pitch.

Also taking place each Sunday will be Faith and Family Sundays, where fans can receive $5.00 off tickets by presenting a church or community bulletin at the Sounds Advance Financial Box Office; limit eight discounted tickets per bulletin.

Finally, Ozzie’s Fit and Fun Club, presented by The Tennessean, continues its season Sunday. Ozzie’s Fit and Fun Club is a program for children of all ages, offering unique opportunities and loads of fun every Sunday home game at the ballpark.

Memberships are $15.00 and include a t-shirt, water bottle, draw-string bag and Sounds tickets.

Monday, August 11th

The homestand will conclude with a SeatGeek.com Dollar Monday. Fans are eligible for a $1.00 ticket offer with the purchase of a regularly priced ticket by showing their SeatGeek.com mobile app at the box office. In addition, concessions will sell hot dogs for just $1.00 courtesy of SeatGeat.com

The team is asking fans to help say farewell to the venue it has called home for 37 years by coming to Sounds games this summer and using the hashtag #LastCheerAtGreer in social media.
