Clarksville Montgomery County area TDOT Maintenance Work starting August 15th, 2014

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Friday August 15th through Wednesday August 20th, from 9:00am-3:00pm, (excluding weekend), there will be periodic lane closures (rolling roadblocks) on I-24 eastbound and westbound, from MM 0 (Tennessee-Kentucky state line) to MM 32 MM (Cheatham-Davidson county line), in order to spray guardrails for vegetation control.

This will be a moving operation.

TDOT Maintenance: Middle Tennessee

On Friday August 15th through Wednesday August 20th, from 9:00am-3:00pm, there will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:

  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, and Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, and Humphreys Counties

On Friday August 15th through Wednesday August 20th, 9:00am-3:00pm, there will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee for tree trimming and removal on an as-needed basis:

  • I-24 Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Maury and Robertson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman and Humphreys Counties

Cheatham County

Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

On Friday August 15th through Wednesday August 20th, from 9:00pm-5:00am, (including weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to pave set barrier rail and pavement marking installation. One lane will remain open in each direction.

Davidson County

On Friday August 15th through Wednesday August 20th, (excluding weekends), 8:00pm-5:00am, there will be rolling roadblocks using an attenuator truck along the inside lanes of I-24, I-65, and I-40 to spray herbicide along the median barrier wall.

On Friday August 14th through Wednesday August 20th, 8:00pm-5:00am, there will be mobile operations in various locations for drain cleaning operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.

On Tuesday August 19th, from 8:00pm-5:00pm, there will be lane closures on I-40 westbound between MM 204 (near White Bridge Road) and MM 206 (near I-440) for bridge repairs. Two lanes will remain open at all times.

Robertson and Sumner Counties

On Friday August 15th through Wednesday August 20th, from 9:00am-3:00pm, (excluding weekend), there will be periodic lane closures (rolling roadblocks) on I-65 northbound and southbound, from MM 97.71 (Davidson-Sumner county line) to MM 121.47 (Tennessee-Kentucky state line), in order to spray guardrails for vegetation control. This will be a moving operation.

Humphreys County

Resurfacing on I-40 from the Benton County Line to the Hickman County Line, Including Bridge Repair

On Friday August 14th through Wednesday August 20th, 8:00pm-6:00am, (including weekend), I-40 will be reduced to one lane in both directions from MM 135 to MM 148 in order to perform milling and paving operations. Troopers will be utilized.

On Friday August 15th, from 8:00pm through Monday August 18th, 6:00am, I-40 will be reduced to one lane eastbound and westbound from MM 140 to MM 142 in order to perform bridge repairs.
