Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service says patchy locally dense fog possible across Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee through the mid morning hours today, Thursday, September 4th.
Prevalent low level moisture continues to be in place across the Mid State this morning. Skies are clearing across locations just west of the Cumberland Plateau region westward across the remainder of Middle Tennessee.
Locations most prone to patchy dense fog formation will be west of the Cumberland Plateau region.
Reduced visibilities from dense fog could make travel hazardous and motorist are urged to exercise caution on area roadways this morning. As visibilities may be reduced to less than one quarter of a mile in some locations.
If driving, be sure to slow down, use low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.
Patchy fog should burn off by around 9:00am.
