APSU Football Alumni Weekend

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Traditionally, Austin Peay State University athletics and the APSU Alumni hold its annual football reunion during late July.

But with Governors Stadium resplendent with its $19 million makeover opening Saturday, September 13th as the Governors play host to Chattanooga, the 2014 Football Reunion was strategically centered around the most significant football accomplishment in decades.

The three-day celebration, which includes two days of golf (September 11th and 12th). Both golf events will be held at Swan Lake Golf Course, with tee-time scheduled for 1:00pm on September 11th and 8:00am the following day.

A lunch will be held September 12th at Pace Alumni Center from noon-2:00pm, and dinner will be provided at the Bud Barn at Charles Hand Farm off I-24, exit 19 beginning at 6:00pm.

During the morning of the home opener, a breakfast will occur in the Club Level of new Governors Stadium, beginning at 8:00am All alums who have requested tickets will be provided complementary tickets for themselves and their families will receive the requested tickets during breakfast on the 13th.

Alums then will depart the club area to be a part of the ribbon cutting and naming ceremonies of select areas of the new stadium – among them the Blake Jenkins Plaza, the Hendricks Fox “Walk of History,” the Heritage Bank Lobby, the John Foy President Box and the Bill Dupes Locker Room.

Later that day the football alums will be special guests at the reconfigured Tailgate Plaza, beginning at 2:00pm before taking their seats in Governors Stadium for the 4:00pm kickoff.

Alums and other special guests will be honored during the game with new APSU President Alisa White and APSU Athletics Director Derek van der Merwe.

After the contest ends, the football alums will be invited back to the club level for a reception.
