City of Clarksville receives $217,835 Governor’s Highway Safety Office Grant for Alcohol Enforcement

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is proud to announce that the City of Clarksville, after a highly competitive grant process, has been awarded $ 217,835 from the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

The funds, which are originally dispersed through the Federal Highway Safety Administration, will be allocated to the Clarksville Police Department in 2015 to use in addressing alcohol related crimes.

“We are very excited and appreciative that the Governor’s Highway Safety Office selected our application and proposal for these funds,” said Mayor Kim McMillan, who officially signed the grant contract today.  “Our team did a great job in putting our application together and CPD will make great use of these funds as they continue to lead the State in addressing alcohol-related crimes.”
