Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – The scoring drought ended for Austin Peay State University women’s soccer Friday night, but the Lady Govs still came out on the wrong side of a 3-1 decision against Samford at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field.

Austin Peay remains winless in September, falling to 1-7-0 overall on the season. Samford moves to 5-4-0.

Clarksville’s Customs House Museum Exhibits Works by Margaret Evangeline

 

Clarksville's Customs House Museum and Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – Paintings by Internationally known artist Margaret Evangeline are on view in the Customs House Museum’s Kimbrough Gallery through October.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department extends deadline for Art on the Park Contest to September 26th

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting a contest that allows for art students across the city to display their creative talents. Students in grades 6-12 may design their own masterpiece for the chance to paint their work on a pre-selected wall of Heritage Park Skatepark.

On top of displaying their art in the park, winners will also receive a gift card and their framed artwork.

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay will open Ohio Valley Conference play this weekend when it travels to Charleston, Illinois, to play defending champ Eastern Illinois in a 1:30pm contest at O’Brien Field.

The two-time OVC champ, EIU comes in a surprising 0-3 record after losing to Illinois State, 34-15 on the heels of previous losses to Minnesota, 42-20, and Southern Illinois, 38-21. The Panthers, however, have won 12 straight OVC contests.
