Fort Campbell, KY – On Saturday, September 27th, 2014, Campbell Crossing partnered with the Fort Campbell Fire Department to host a community movie night in support of Fire Prevention Week at The Commons at Werner Park.
The event brought together more than 125 Campbell Crossing residents for a special screening of The Lego Movie and an important lesson in fire safety and prevention.
Fort Campbell Fire Department kicked off the evening. In full gear, the Firefighters passed out fireman hats, conducted tours of the fire truck, and spoke to the crowd about the importance of fire safety.“Everyone had a great time at movie night,” said Campbell Crossing team members at The Commons at Werner Park. “The community came together to enjoy a great movie, popcorn and candy! The children were able to spend time with the Fort Campbell Fire Department, and win some fun prizes.”
Other highlights of the event included a raffle which included prizes such as a bike, four sets of movie tickets, a Blue-ray DVD player and a Samsung Galaxy Tablet.
“It is always enjoyable to see our community come together for events such as this,” said Mike Goodwin, project director for Campbell Crossing. “Safety is a top priority for Campbell Crossing, and this movie night event provided us the opportunity to educate our residents on the importance of fire safety, while also giving them a fun night out with their families. I want to thank the Campbell Crossing team, the Fort Campbell Fire Department, and Fort Campbell community for helping make this another successful event.”
