Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.
Some of the upcoming events include:Port Royal by Lantern, Walk at Port Royal, Trees of Port Royal, Trees of Dunbar Cave, Trail of Tears Walk and Trail Walk.
Friday, October 24th
Port Royal by Lantern
Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Ages: All Ages
Follow the trail by lantern light as actors tell the history of Port Royal State Historic Area.
Hikes depart every 20 minutes.
Charge is $5.00 per person – credit card if you pay in advance, cash only the night of the event. Reservations are strongly recommended as group sizes are limited – those without reservations may have to wait 1-3 hours to get on a tour (if there are openings).

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs Information
Programs are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed. Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled.
All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed.
Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children).
Age limits are definite – please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given.
