Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency releases Winter Trout Stocking Schedule for 2014-2015

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has announced its 2014-15 winter trout stocking scheduled. TWRA plans to release approximately 90,000 rainbow trout into Tennessee waters from December through March.

The program provides numerous close to home trout fishing opportunities for anglers during the winter months. Land Between The Lakes now accepting applications for 2015 Seasonal Camping

 

Land Between the Lakes - LBLGolden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area is now accepting applications for the 2015 Seasonal Camping Program.

There are a total of 113 campsites in the seasonal camping program available for two to nine months at Hillman Ferry, Piney, and Wranglers campgrounds.

Cravens Bay and Taylor Bay campgrounds have a total of 21 short-term (one to six months) sites available.

Tennessee’s Unemployment Rate Decreased to 7.1% in October 2014

 

Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce DevelopmentNashville, TN – Tennessee Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner Burns Phillips announced the Tennessee preliminary unemployment rate for October was 7.1 percent, two tenths of one percentage point lower than the September revised rate of 7.3 percent.

The U.S. preliminary rate for October was 5.8 percent, down from 5.9 percent in September.

United States Africa CommandMonrovia, Liberia – With 79 percent humidity and a warm ocean breeze, Thanksgiving for Soldiers deployed in Monrovia, Liberia, feels far from traditional. But thanks to a plethora of Thanksgiving activities and fare, Soldiers can still get into the holiday spirit throughout the Joint Forces Command – United Assistance area of operations in Liberia.

In support of the U.S. Agency for International Development, the JFC- UA is assisting the government of Liberia in containing the Ebola virus, while also synchronizing the establishment of Ebola treatment units across Liberia and training health care workers to staff the ETUs.
