Land Between the Lakes to hold Fall Frolic at Woodlands Nature Station November 8th

Land Between the Lakes - LBLGolden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area invites the public to celebrate the arrival of autumn during Fall Frolic, at Woodlands Nature Station, November 8th, from 10:00am-4:00pm. Nature Station admission is $5.00 ages 13 and up, $3.00 ages 5-12, free for ages 4 and under.

Fall Frolic features a variety of fall nature events and fun filled activities, including hayrides, live music, and appearances by Smokey Bear.

“Bring the whole family to enjoy the fall season and participate in a variety of family-friendly outdoor programs and activities,” says Aviva Yasgur, Naturalist at Nature Station.

Sign up that day for an old-fashioned hayride. Hayrides are 30-minutes long, $2.00 per person, and leave regularly throughout the day.

Staff-led rides include fun nature activities and great wildlife-viewing opportunities!

Fall Frolic activities:

11:00am Forecasting Folklore
12:00 & 2:00pm Fall Music Concert—featuring, Brio Youth String Ensemble

2:30pm Bedtime for the Beasts

 

Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area manages more than 170,000 acres in western Kentucky and Tennessee as part of the U.S. Forest Service and the Department of Agriculture’s public lands program. Land Between The Lakes offers outdoor recreation, lake access, land management, and environmental education to over 1.4 million visitors annually.

The Friends of Land Between The Lakes works in partnership with the Forest Service providing program services, funds development, and volunteer support.
