Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSURichmond, KY – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team fought a hard battle with Eastern Kentucky but dropped a five-set (20-25, 27-25, 28-26, 20-25, 6-15) Ohio Valley Conference contest at McBrayer Arena in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Austin Peay State University Men’s Basketball falls at Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 77-70

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUBowling Green, KY – Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team hung tough with a veteran-laden Western Kentucky squad but couldn’t make one final run, falling 77-70 to the Hilltoppers in the 2014-15 regular-season opener.

The Govs left E.A. Diddle Arena with a seventh straight loss to the Hilltoppers, despite putting four players in double figures. For Western Kentucky, they move to 1-0 in their first season as members of Conference USA.

National Weather Service reports Wintry Weather possible for Clarksville-Montgomery County Sunday morning

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service says a wintry weather is possible Sunday morning and likely Sunday night and Monday morning for Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee.

As unusually cold weather continues across the region, an approaching low pressure system will bring the potential for wintry weather. The first chance for wintry weather will move in early Sunday morning.

This precipitation is expected to be in the form of light sleet but should present no travel problems. Warmer air will bring a change to all rain for the daytime Sunday.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Officer reports pursuit ends in crash

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOMontgomery County, TN – A Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy pursued a vehicle late Friday night arising from a traffic violation. During the course of the pursuit, Deputy Chris Bedell recognized the driver as matching the description of a man wanted in reference to an armed robbery in Clarksville.

Clarksville Police Department G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) Vehicle presentation

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, November 14th, 2014 at 9:00am, the Clarksville Police Department and the Citizens Police Academy Alumni (CPAA) presented the G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) Vehicle. Recently, G.R.E.A.T. custom graphic wraps were added to the vehicle, which was paid for by the CPAA.

Fort Campbell MWR’s R.F. Sink Library to host local author Hannah Conway for Brunch and a Book

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Our visiting author for Brunch and a Book on November 18th will be Hannah Conway. Hannah is a Kentucky native, Fort Campbell Army wife, stay at home mother of two, and speaker who lives in Clarksville Tennessee.

She will be discussing her debut novel, The Wounded Warrior’s Wife, a work of fiction exploring military relationships during and after deployment.

There will be copies of the book available for purchase if you would like to have one signed. The cost will be $10.00 if you pay with cash or check and $12.00 if you use a debit card.

Newberg is a 6-1, 220-pound left-handed pitcher and first baseman at Moline High School under head coach Craig Schimmel.

Clarksville Civil War RoundtableClarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Gateway Medical Center.

This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall. The meeting begins at 7:00 pm and is always open to the public.
