Tennessee Titans fall late to Pittsburgh Steelers 27-24

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Pittsburgh Steelers (7-4) score two 4th quarter touchdowns to beat the Tennessee Titans (2-8) 27-24 at LP Field on Monday Night Football.

Pittsburgh took the lead when quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hit Antonio Brown for a 12 yard strike. Tennessee would get the ball back with a chance to tie or take the lead. However, after getting one first down, the Titans were forced to punt the ball back to the Steelers.

Clarksville’s Title Boxing Club sponsors the Public Safety Health Challenge

 

Teams – The Clarksville Police Department, Clarksville Fire & Rescue, and the Clarksville Dispatchers

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Public Safety Health Challenge is a six week weight loss challenge between three different Clarksville public safety departments sponsored by Title Boxing Club in Clarksville.

The teams are the Clarksville Police Department (CPD), Clarksville Fire and Rescue (CFR), and the Clarksville Dispatchers. The Challenge started on November 3rd, 2014 and will end on December 14th, 2014.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan provides information for Homeless Shelters during predicted Freezing Temperatures

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is announcing the City of Clarksville’s plans to assist the homeless during the expected frigid temperatures.

Over the next two days, the temperature is predicted to fall well below freezing. The Mayor and the City’s Office of Housing and Community Development have been monitoring the availability of options for homeless people in Clarksville to get out of the elements, especially during the nighttime hours.

Stucker,  a 6-0 setter, completed her senior season at Johnston High School under head coach Rick Brooks.

Clarksville Police Department reports attempted Robbery at the Walgreens on the 2100 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Today, November 17th, 2014 at 12:11pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to an Attempted Robbery at the Walgreens on the 2100 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

AAA reports Gas Prices decline for seven consecutive weeks

 

AAATampa, FL – Motorists continue enjoying the lowest gas prices in four years. The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded dropped 52 consecutive days Sunday, falling 45 cents since September 26th.

During that same period, gas prices fell 41 cents in Florida, 49 cents in Georgia and 45 cents in Tennessee. The streak of declines is 42 in Florida, 43 in Georgia, and 44 in Tennessee.

“Gas prices are plunging in-line with the falling price of oil, declining demand, and pumps selling winter-blend fuel which is cheaper to produce,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Gas prices should only get cheaper through the rest of the year.” «Read the rest of this article»

Austin Peay State University sponsors four Americorps Vista placements in Clarksville for 2014-15 academic year

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Through a partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service, Austin Peay State University’s Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement (CSLCE) has placed three Americorps Vista personnel within Clarksville community agencies for the 2014-2015 academic year, with a fourth to be placed in February 2015.
