Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team completed its fall signing period with the addition of Kristen Stucker, of Johnston, Iowa, for the 2015 class.
Stucker, a 6-0 setter, completed her senior season at Johnston High School under head coach Rick Brooks.
She was named to the 2014 5A All-State Team, the all-state tournament squad and selected to the IGCA Senior All-Star Classic.
Stucker finished her career with 1,412 assists (10.18 per set). She was named to the 2014 Academic All-State team and was a three-time academic all-conference selection.
“We are excited to have such an athletic and versatile setter coming into our program,” said Lady Govs head coach Taylor Mott. “Kristen continues to improve in every opportunity that she is given. She excels in the classroom and on the court where she has garnered several post season accolades. We look for Kristen to have an immediate impact in our program.”
Stucker also played for the Iowa Power Volleyball Alliance club program under coach Joe Morton. She was a member of the 18-under team that finished 17th at the USA Junior Nationals and the 17-under squad that placed ninth in the Mid-East Qualifier.
A multi-sport athlete, Stucker competes in both soccer and track and field for Johnston High School. She was member of three relay teams that qualified for the 5A state tournament, picking up a bronze medal in the distance medley. Stucker also was a member of the 2012 and 2013 soccer teams that qualified for the 3A state tournament.
