Should any resident of Clarksville-Montgomery County need shelter for the night, they can contact Buffalo Valley at 931.206.7608. There were still beds available at that facility this afternoon.

Emergency warming shelters have also been established at the Burt-Cobb Community Center, 1011 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN 37040 and at New Providence United Methodist Church, 1317 Fort Campbell Boulevard, Clarksville, TN 37040.

According to our community partners, a total of 56 people sought shelter last night (Buffalo Valley – 1, Emergency Warming Shelters – 9, Room in the Inn – 18, Salvation Army – 30).

The Clarksville Police Department has been given the after hours point of contact information for shelters and for any other homeless concerns. The Department has also been advised to be on the outlook for anyone needing help or shelter during this unusually cold weather.

“Again, I want to thank our team, including our community partners and the volunteers who are working so hard to make sure that everyone in Clarksville has a safe and warm place to stay,” said Mayor McMillan.
