February 11th

9:00 am CST – Selection and Planting of Woody Ornamentals in the Landscape

Webinar Presenter — Karla Kean
Karla Kean is an Extension Agent in Montgomery County. With an Agriculture and Natural Resource appointment, she is used to getting dirt under her fingernails while working with the Master Gardener program and assisting local growers and producers. Karla regularly provides training and conducts workshops like last month’s Middle TN Landscape Management Shortcourse held at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center.

1:00pm CDT – Healthy Eating = Healthy Heart

— Heart-healthy eating is an important way to lower your risk for heart disease and stroke. Heart disease is the number one cause of death for American women. This webinar will provide insight on how to select a healthy diet that will provide the most benefit to your heart.

Webinar Presenter — Leslie Speller-Henderson, M.S.
Leslie Speller-Henderson proves statewide Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) leadership as interim FCS Program Leader for Tennessee county agents and state faculty through the Tennessee State University (TSU) Cooperative Extension Program. In addition, she facilitates nutrition and food safety education outreach to help individuals, families and communities identify and solve healthy lifestyle challenges. 2:30pm CDT – Understanding Your 401k

— Few things are as important to your financial future as responsible retirement planning. But even fewer things are as intimidating. Small cap, mid cap, large cap: what do baseball hats have to do with retirement? How do I choose between International funds and Target Retirement funds? And what about this “free money” from my employer? All of these questions and more will be addressed in this webinar that looks at one of the most popular retirement planning tools.

Webinar Presenter — Gabriel Fancher, MBA, M.A.
Gabriel Fancher is a financial advisor with FirstBank in Rutherford County. As a former college professor who taught accounting, economics and finance, Gabriel takes a personalized approach in assisting clients with comprehensive financial planning.
