Nashville Zoo Animals this Valentine’s Day get Special Treats

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – Nashville Zoo animals are celebrating Valentine’s Day with special enrichment items on Saturday, February 14th.

“Valentine’s Day is a chance for our animals to receive new items and toys for enrichment, and for our keepers to have a little fun,” said Jac Menish, curator of behavioral husbandry at Nashville Zoo. “Cardboard in the shape of candy kisses, purple and red paper mache balls, and pink paper chains are just a few of the sweet items the animals will be enjoying during the day.”

Nashville Zoo uses daily enrichment to promote natural behaviors in the animals, ensuring optimal physical and mental health.

Animals that guests can expect to see on exhibit during this time of year will receive their enrichment when they go on exhibit on Saturday, February 14th.
