National Weather Service reports 3 to 10 inches of Snow now possible for Clarksville – Montgomery County

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that the Winter Storm Warning continues for tonight through midnight CST Monday night for the Clarksville-Montgomery County area and all of Middle Tennessee.

A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow,  sleet, and ice are expected or occurring. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

Timing – Snow accumulations tonight through Monday evening.

Accumulations – 3 to 10 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts possible north of Interstate 40. Lower amounts will be possible south.

Main Impact – Accumulating snow tonight into Monday evening will likely cause hazardous travel conditions across the area. Sleet and/or freezing rain may make roads slick with a coating of ice in addition to chances for snow during the day.

Other Impacts – There will be a sleet and/or freezing rain mix in with the snow, mainly around and south of Interstate 40, slight chance for sleet in areas farther north.

Cannon County, Cheatham County, Clay County, Cumberland County, Davidson County, De Kalb County, Dickson County, Fentress County, Hickman County, Houston County, Humphreys County, Jackson County, Macon County, Montgomery County, Overton County, Pickett County, Putnam County, Robertson County, Rutherford County, Smith County, Stewart County, Sumner County, Trousdale County, Van Buren County, Warren County, White County, Williamson County, and Wilson County.
